The Suhuru Liya District forum organized by Information and Communication Agency of Sri Lanka and Ministry of Women and Child affairs was held at the District Secretariat Auditorium on 28th and 29th of January 2020.
Members of Women’s communities around the Moneragala District were the participants at the event. Deputy Minister Wijitha Berugoda, District Secretariat and Additional District secretariat of Moneragala District participated as the guests at the event.
In this two days workshop event, the women participants were given the knowledge needed for surviving in todays’ technological era by ICTA, LK Domain Registry and Facebook. They were briefed and trained by ICTA and Facebook about the business opportunities and the suitable tools to develop a business via online platforms.
LK Domain Registry did an awareness session about the Cyber related crimes and the steps to avoid them. Hithawathi help line was promoted with website to the participants. Security measures on social media platforms were briefed and Hitthawathi leaflets were share among the participants.
