Supun is a third-year student at a private university in Colombo. He had been applying for internships at various organizations for a while. One day, while searching online for opportunities, he came across an interesting advertisement on a popular job platform. He quickly read through the details and, without much hesitation, sent an email with his information to the organization.

A few days later, Supun received an unusual phone call.

Supun: Hello… Hello…
Organization: Ayubowan! You are speaking with XYZ Organization. You have been selected for an internship at our organization. Please check your email tomorrow for a link. Fill out the form in the link and answer a few subject-related questions. Kindly submit the completed form to us promptly. Thank you!

Since the call was recorded, Supun became suspicious. He immediately searched for information about the phone number and found that it was linked to fraudulent activities. Supun then blocked the number.

Thanks to regularly staying updated with Hithawathi, Supun was able to avoid falling victim to the scam.
